Prior to JobsOhio, Mark was a partner at Silicon Valley-based Sequoia Capital for 12 years, where he led investments in Linkedin (LKND – NYSE), MarkLogic, Cast Iron (IBM), and FunnyOrDie.com. Prior to Sequoia, Mark was the Chairman and CEO of CKS Group (CKSG – NASDAQ) and a founding member of Apple France.
Rich LangdalePresident and Capital Committee Chair
Rich is a co-founder and managing partner at NCT Ventures. Before co-founding the Columbus-based VC firm, Rich was the founder, CEO and Chairman of Digital Storage, Inc. and SubmitOrder.com and co-founder and lead investor of many other successful ventures. Rich has served on several nonprofit boards, and was a co-founder and developer of the Center for Entrepreneurship at The Ohio State University, where he served as a board member and taught undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA courses on entrepreneurship.
Tony is a co-founder and chairman of Queen City Angels. Prior to founding the Cincinnati-based angel group, Tony was a serial entrepreneur, co-founding several companies and non-profit business development organizations. Tony serves on several non-profit boards, including the Angel Capital Association.
Will is a managing director at Draper Triangle Ventures. Prior to his role at the midwest-based VC firm, Will implemented and ran the Ohio Third Frontier’s Central Ohio Entrepreneurial Signature Program at TechColumbus (now Rev1 Ventures) as CEO of Investments and VP of Venture Development. Will has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, CEO, startup advisor, and preseed/seed private equity manager.
Karl ElderkinNominating and Governance Committee Chair
Karl is the founder and managing partner at Athenian Venture Partners. Before founding the Athens-based VC firm, Karl was co-head of the VC arm of Generics Group, PLC, an England-based technology consultancy, and prior to that, spent several years in engineering, manufacturing and capital investment management. Karl has led, co-led and participated in numerous IPOs and strategic acquisitions and serves on the board of directors of several early-stage companies including Manta Media, Prioria Robotics, and Sendio.
Dan began his private equity career in 1996 and joined River Cities in 2001. Upon the generational transition of River Cities, his partners elected him to assume leadership within the firm, and he is now President of the management company.
Ray Leach is the founding CEO of JumpStart Inc. a Cleveland, Ohio-based venture development firm whose mission is to unlock the growth of diverse and ambitious entrepreneurs to help transform entire communities. Leach also serves as the Managing Partner of the for-profit JumpStart NEXT Fund. Leach was a Sloan Fellow and a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management and the University of Akron. Ray also serves on the board of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, was a founding member of the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) and recently served on the board of the National Venture Capital Association.
Bill is a co-founder and managing director of Mutual Capital Partners and co-founder of Access Ventures Fund. Before founding the Cleveland-based VC firm, Bill was Senior Vice President-Head of E-Commerce Investment Banking at McDonald Investments, an investment bank acquired by Key Corp. Bill also serves on the board of Flashes of Hope, an organization dedicated to creating powerful, uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses as well as funding pediatric cancer research.
Tom is President and CEO of Rev1 Ventures as well as a seasoned founder and manager of venture funds and entrepreneurial initiatives. He is the author of The Entrepreneur’s Handbook, a step-by-step guide to commercialization for entrepreneurs with big ideas.
