Our Mission

Assuring Adequate Capital

VentureOhio’s number one goal is ensuring there is adequate capital in Ohio to support high potential companies at all stages. VentureOhio supports the creation of one or more Ohio-based fund-of-funds, with a focus on the need for capital to support the growth of early-stage companies.

Advocate Impactful New Policies

VentureOhio supports the Angel Capital Association’s efforts to protect angel start-up funding and the start-up economy by urging regulators to preserve financial thresholds in the current accredited investor definition. We will also work to ensure Ohio’s tax and regulatory environment is supportive of new company formation and growth.

Tell Ohio’s Story

Increasing awareness and interest in Ohio as a place for venture investing and successful entrepreneurial activity is among the most important goals of VentureOhio. Each year we will complete a statewide survey and publish the annual VentureReport, which reflects the venture investment and company building activity in the state during the past year, and host the annual VentureDinner in the fall, which brings together venture investors, companies, and others from around the state to network, celebrate the successes of the past year, and discuss ways to continue the growth and success of the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
